What’s a Peer Network?

A Peer is someone with similar experience to you. A Peer Network is a connected group of peers.

Our peer network is a group of both family members of people with disability and people with disability who are working towards a common vision; sharing their questions, ideas and experiences with one another along the way. A peer network is not a seminar. It’s a group that works when everyone contributes. The facilitator is there to help the group stay on track, not to provide all the answers.

Why join this Peer Network?

If you have a child with disability going into high school in 2025, join this group to discuss the preparation and planning with other families in a similar position.

What is Inclusion?

Inclusion is being known as a multi-faceted person – more than “the person with a disability”. It means holding socially valued roles that provide a sense of purpose and a place of belonging in the community with meaningful and reciprocal relationships, being trusted and valued and having access to good formal and informal supports.

Whether you're a family member or a person with disability, join us to discuss and consider the steps in preparing for High School with other families.
